Video: Rickie Fowler and Peter Uihlein Practice Hitting Super Flops

News, Videos

This shot may never be attempted in an actual tournament, but if Rickie Fowler and Peter Uihlein are ever faced with a 25-foot high obstacle, they’ve got the shot.

The two former Oklahoma State Cowboys and Walker Cup teammates took some time off their range session with swing coach Butch Harmon to practice “super flops.”

Items of note:

  • Initially, it looked like Uihlein was walking to catch his flop shot before it hit the ground. This would have added an extra dimension of difficulty.
  • The array of divots in the hitting area suggest there were some previous shots taken.
  • These guys are good.

Oh to be young, bored, talented and have a few bucks in the bank....despite the video, Fowler remains the Natalie Gulbis of the PGA Tour.
