The Players Championship is relegated to “fifth major” status, but when it comes to on-course wildlife, TPC Sawgrass has no equal. The watery marshland around Ponte Vedra Beach is filled with critters that Boo Weekley has either wrassled or eaten.

In the third round in 2011, NBC cameras caught a turtle diving off the 16th green. On Sunday, the Greg Louganis of snapping turtles returned to the scene of his past glory. Take a look:

This isn't a snapping turtle, FYI. It's a Florida Softshell Turtle, Apalone ferox. You can tell by the bumps on the leading edge of the shell and his funny little nose.
